Frequently Asked Questions

Does working with an academic consultant guarantee admission to universities?

Students are admitted to universities based on a variety of factors, including grades, personal profile, application answers, and the intended program. Working with an academic consultant is a valuable addition to your application process, but does not guarantee your admission.

When should I start?

The sooner, the better! We start working with students and families as early as grade ten all the way to the weeks leading up to application deadlines. It’s never too late to get started on academic advising, especially if you’re feeling confused or overwhelmed during your application process. Students may benefit from working with us over an extended time period for advice on high school class selection and extra-curricular opportunities.

Do you do speaking engagements?

We are available for keynotes and workshops for groups, guilds, teams, and clubs, and love working with you to customize the information being presented! Please contact us for more information.

Are packages transferable?

No, packages and their contents are not transferable between students nor can they be ‘split’ between multiple students/siblings.

Do you provide accessible consulting sessions?

Morgan Academic Consulting makes every effort to be fully inclusive and accessible for all students and families. Service such as live-captioning and screen reader-compatible documents are standard in all consultations. If there is something we can do to make academic consulting accessible for you, please let us know and we will be glad to arrange for needed accommodations.

How do you handle student and family confidentiality?

All consulting is done via secure Zoom link or phone calls, and all information shared during our sessions is fully confidential. Morgan Academic Consulting will never sell, rent, or share your private information (including email address) and will not identify clients.
